CARE MINISTRY

Sometimes people in need get lost in the shuffle and we want to make sure that doesn’t happen. We are looking to you to let us know through email, those cases where you would think a caring situation applies. The concerns would include but are not limited to hospital visitation, communion for shut-ins, prayer, counseling, dealing with grief and loss, one‑on‑one support, divorce, and benevolence requests. When you come across a person/family in need, EMAIL US and we will take it from there.

Our congregation’s Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one‑to‑one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.

GriefShare exists to offer comfort, healing, hope and encouragement to anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one. Our next 13-week cycle of group sessions begins September 17th from 6:30‑8:30 p.m. in the church Library, Gathering Place main level.

In addition, we are pleased to offer a special one-session program called “Loss of a Spouse” which will be held on Saturday morning, September 14th. This is a stand alone event meant to bring hope and healing and address the specific challenges that face someone after the loss of their spouse.

We hope you will consider joining us so that you do not have to go through the journey of grief alone.

Cancer care ministry is a hope ministry. While it involves prayer, counsel, visits and assistance, it is centered on bringing God’s hope to patients and their caregivers, family and friends. This requires an understanding of the impact of cancer, how people react to it and how God has called His people to respond. Above all, it requires us to have within ourselves an unfeigned hope that we can take to those in need.
